Chris Coursey

As fires rage across Maui, killing one hundred people and destroying thousands of homes, we can’t help but be reminded of the overwhelming sense of helplessness that our own community faced nearly six years ago. The scars of the Tubbs fire – the largest wildfire in California’s history at the time – are still visible across Sonoma County. Though much has changed since that night, the steady leadership of Chris Coursey hasn’t.

Mayor at the time, and a supervisor today, Chris Coursey has helped rebuild back better. He understands the needs of fire survivors still struggling to rebuild, of our fire departments planning for a more arid climate, and the cascading impact of multiple disasters across our region.

As a former Mayor and Supervisor, Chris Coursey has led efforts to build affordable housing, advance ambitious climate goals, and to address the impact of homelessness. In his term on the Board of Supervisors, he’s helped protect our most vulnerable community members during the COVID-19 pandemic, increased the minimum wage, and made incredible investments in our county’s roads and infrastructure.

Synergistic Sonoma County is a collaboration between Sonoma County’s labor, business, and environmental leaders that supports candidates who have shown political courage and an aptitude for policy making. Join us today in supporting the re-election of Chris Coursey.

This coming March, Chris Coursey is the only choice for the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors 3rd District
